It allows you to achieve both grey and deep black tones. Adding a small pinch to other powders makes them darker, while also adding a smoky, greyish, matte effect. Neutral taste and smell, stable tone that is little affected by other colors, remains stable when heated, and is very intense – you only need to add a tiny bit of charcoal to get a distinct shade. It looks very unusual in desserts (e.g., coloring ice cream or cocktails black), useful for Halloween products, gothic style or mourning decorations, for accentuating decorative details, and for drawing tree branches, sunflower centers, black berries, etc., on cakes.

100% plant-based powders suitable for use in cakes, creams, glazes, cookies, ice creams, cocktails, and other sweet and savory dishes. Also suitable for adding to chocolate and decorating with a brush. The very fine and even grind allows these powders to be used in creams and glazes for piping with pastry tips – the powder disperses evenly in the mass without graininess or lumps. High quality ensures an unusually bright and stable tone for natural colors, even when adding a relatively small amount of powder (compared to homemade or typical natural dyes on the market).

Use and storage.
Pastel shades are obtained by adding 1–2 tsp (2–6 g) of powder per approx. 500 g of mass, intense shades – per 50–200 g of mass. These powders are also suitable for people with milk/lactose intolerance, vegetarians, vegans, and children. Do not use if you have an allergy or intolerance to the specific plant. Store in a dark, dry place in a closed container. Protect from sudden temperature fluctuations and do not store near a constant heat source (e.g., radiators).

Specifics of natural dyes.
Natural powders usually have a smell and taste. They can be flavored with food essences (e.g., peppermint) if you want to change or mask the taste. Fruit powders will give products a pleasant taste and acidity. Before adding to the mass, powders can be mixed with a small amount of vodka (to form a “paste”) – the tone will intensify. By mixing with a larger amount of vodka, you can draw lines, contours, and paint like with watercolors (alcohol evaporates quickly – there will be no alcohol content in the final product). Sometimes the tone may change as a result of heating (e.g., when baking dough products with added powders or heating in a microwave). Do not leave the powder or the colored product in bright direct sunlight for a long time. Powders can be mixed together, but the resulting tone may differ from mixing synthetic colors, so it is recommended to first try with a small amount of the mass to ensure the new tone is satisfactory. The tone is also affected by the color of the mass itself; for example, coloring a yellow mass (butter/margarine) with pink will create a warmer shade than mixing it into a white mass (e.g., cottage cheese). It is advisable to mix creams or glazes with powders at least 3 hours before decorating and to make the masses lighter than the desired final result, as the powders set gradually and the final intensity appears after some time.

Vegetable carbon – obtained by burning coconut shells.
