Description
Timut, also known as Nepali pepper, is a relative of Sichuan pepper and a natural lemon pepper, primarily harvested in Nepal and Tibet. It’s not intensely hot like many black peppers you might know. Timut pepper has a refreshingly cool, peppery taste with a characteristic grapefruit aroma. Pepper lovers also detect notes of cinnamon and rose in these peppers.
HOW TO USE: Timut pepper’s amazing flavor will surprise you when added to all kinds of fish dishes, seafood in general, and even grilled, steamed, or fresh vegetable dishes. Feel free to add these peppers to exotic fruit desserts too. Mix ground Timut pepper into melted butter and add it to steamed wild rice or mashed potatoes.
MANASGARSAS.LV TIP: Try making a fantastic marinade for chicken with ground Timut pepper, a little coarse sea salt, and garlic.
