Description
Cameroon, which is located in Central Africa to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, is considered a fertile country with predominantly tropical weather and heavy rainfall. Large parts of Cameroon are volcanic, and the mineral-rich soils, combined with heavy rains and hot air temperatures, ensure lush harvests!
In the Littoral Region, these excellent weather conditions are used to cultivate one of the most famous peppers of our time – Penja pepper – cultivated according to ancient traditions in small village communities.
Penja black peppercorns are harvested just before they are fully ripe and dried in the sun.
The strong and intense, naturally smoky and expressive woody aroma of Penja pepper fits perfectly into all dark sauces, as well as, of course, meat and fish dishes.
