Description
The start of summer is often associated with yellow meadows of dandelions, but most of them just bloom and fade, with only a few realizing their value and harvesting them as a useful plant. In folk medicine, dandelion roots are recommended for stimulating bile secretion and flow, lowering cholesterol, activating digestion, preventing constipation, and improving liver function. It’s also been observed that dandelion root decoction improves skin health.
USAGE: Pour 3 cups of water over one tablespoon of chopped dandelion roots and leave overnight. In the morning, boil the infusion for 6-7 minutes, cover and let it steep for 20 minutes, then strain.
MANASGARSAS.LV RECOMMENDATION: Add fresh ginger, lemon, and honey to your dandelion root infusion.
