We also believe pilaf is a truly delicious and hearty meal, especially when cooked in a round-bottomed cast-iron cauldron over an open flame! Recently, while getting to know Sandra and Valdis Ošiņš—the creators of www.garsigalatvija.lv—we discovered a special pilaf crafted by Mārcis Bendiks! A special pilaf deserves a special spice blend, so we’ve mixed it exactly to the author’s recipe and, with his blessing, are now offering it for you to taste and enjoy!

A small note on barberries—some might want more than what’s in the spice blend. Add as many as you like!
