Description
Goji berries have become the most recognized “superfood” in recent years due to their exceptionally high nutritional value. These berries are harvested in China, Mongolia, and Siberia from tall shrubs also known as Tibetan barberry or Lycium. The berries possess antiviral, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. Goji berries have a positive effect on the entire body, so it’s recommended to eat at least 10–15 g of these berries every day.
USE: Goji berries are a real delicacy – they taste great on their own, as well as with other dried fruits and nuts. You can add the berries to yogurts, fresh salads, cottage cheese, and muesli mixes, or combine them with fresh fruit and berries when preparing preserves for winter.
MANASGARSAS.LV RECOMMENDATION: Pour hot water over the dried goji berries for a few minutes – let them soak! Then add them to cooked rice or bulgur along with chili sauce, grilled vegetables, and chicken fillet.
